Diploma Hypno-Psychotherapy UK, Certified Hypnotist US, EFT Practitioner, Level 3, Cert' Anxiety Mang't. Cert' PLR.
ln order to have a good emotionally balanced life, the brain needs a certain level of clarity in both language and thought. That is why part of my work focuses on the quality of language a client uses; both internal and external. The quality of poor language is defined by its proclivity, towards negativity, ambiguity, vagueness and/or wrong context. Conversely, when language is well-formed, precise and positive, one's emotional experience of life is usually better! Interestingly, almost every client uses words whose meanings are either vague, ambiguous or filter emotion negatively at deeper levels of the brain/mind. As such, if we are in a buoyant jubilant mood these words will likely have less of a negative effect. But when we are in an anxious or fearful mindset, they can feed into our emotions and life can spiral out of control.
It was the discovery of how we use everyday language that demonstrated to me, how it can negatively influence our general sense of well-being. And from there, how it can affect the way we think, feel and behave. Consequentially, our current mood or state alters the effect a lack of clarity can have on our emotional wellbeing! My aim, in hypnotherapy, is to help clients resolve this subtle, seemingly innocuous, self-sabotaging effect on their everyday experience of life. Trans4mational Therapy, a synthesis of my training, therapeutic and life experience, aims to provide a solution to the issues at hand. If this is something you would like to know more about, take advantage of my free consultation. It's not only free of charge, it's free of any commitment too, and, if you want to, you can also try hypnosis!
My professional training taught me to organize my life experience in a way that allowed me to empathise with the client's experience of life! That is not to say that I know how they feel, because each person's feeling is a subjective matter. It just allows the client to feel heard. Sometimes it is just the knowledge that someone cares, that they are not being judged, that is what often starts the process of healing! In short, it allows the client to feel validated.
Sometimes all we lack is the ability to discover that resource which lies within each of us. This, I believe, is where therapy can really be helpful. The art of hypnotherapy is in helping the client access those inner resources which enable them to overcome the most extreme difficulty. My job as a therapist, therefore, is to use my training, life and clinical experience in assisting the client to bring about the process of healing. The healing can be physical, emotional and/or mental because it is from within this framework that profound change happens.
It is a truth, that being a therapist allows one a greater awareness of the many ways in which life imprints its effect on the human spirit. It is through the use of the healing methods of others, clients or therapists, that examples emerge, that help clients to overcome their difficulty. A common thread in a client's experience is that they feel their situation is somehow unique; which in a way it is. But the important point, is, that it is rarely totally unique! I guess that is why biographies are so powerful in their ability to help others achieve the seemingly impossible. The journey of therapy, therefore, is one in which the therapist and client explore together. The resultant journey, being one of nature, as well as nurture, make the final destination (Goals of Therapy) so ultimately achievable.
I have been in private practice for over 20 years now and have over 19,400 hours of client experience. It is the totality of my training, life and therapeutic experience that I bring to my practice here in Singapore. It is, therefore, my desire to assist each client to achieve their desired outcome for therapy and life.
