Past Life Regression
PDF Print E-mail

How do we explain the unexplainable? Or should we even try?

Some people believe and others don’t. Some, who believe have had experience of past lives, and some people who don’t believe, have also had past life experience.

So, whether you believe or not may not influence your outcome. The phenomena of past life experience has some very compelling evidence that suggests that it is a very distinct possibility. There have been many case studies that have produced some verifiable facts.

For example: Arnall Bloxham, an English hypnotherapist of high repute, collaborated with the BBC in making a Television program of a Welsh housewife called Jane Evans. She regressed, live on screen, back to a twelfth century Jewess called Rachel who lived in York in the 1180’s. Live on television, she recalled how she was the wife of a wealthy money lender called Joseph. In great detail she described how she and her family and other members of the Jewish community were hounded by a mob led by a nobleman called Richard Malebisse to whom her husband had lent money and who refused to repay the debt. She, her husband and their two children tried to take refuge in York Castle but were refused by the constable of the castle, and eventually found their way to a crypt of a church just outside the gates of York. It was here that the family was put to death by the sword.

Professor Barrie Dobson, an expert on Jewish history at York University, was called in to check the information from her memories; Jane Evans was relatively uneducated and had, reportedly, never read a history book about the York Massacre. He found her description of 12th century Jewish life was impressive with its accuracy and was convinced that some of the details would have only been known to professional historians (or people who were reliving a true past life experience).

However, it also seemed that some details appeared to be quite incorrect. Firstly, he said, it was not until the 13th century (1215 to be precise) that the Church authorities in Rome decreed that Jews in Christian countries were to wear special identification. He subsequently found this was practiced much earlier, albeit informally. Secondly, from her description, the church had to have been St. Mary's Castlegate, but it did not have a crypt. This led to him question her memory of those events.

However, several months later when the church was being renovated, workmen found under the chancel a crypt with stone arches and vaults dating from the twelfth century. The crypt had been infilled with rubble from the time of the killing. All the other facts given under hypnosis were corroborated by known facts of the massacre of Jews in York in 1180 where the rest of the community had by agreement been slain by Rabbi Yantof who then killed himself. York paid dearly for this crime by being heavily taxed and 100 citizens were imprisoned for life. Richard Malebisse, it is believed, later escaped to Scotland.

Also, there have been many people with problems in this life that have been solved by finding the origin of the problem in a past life. Of course, you may say that is not proof and I agree with you. However, if you had a problem that had dogged you for many years in this life and it was healed through a vision of time (past time), would you care whether it was true or not?  But I do suspect that your curiosity would be aroused!

There are many different theories of past life regression, and mine is not unique, but I do think it is different from most.

What do I believe?

I have had experience of past lives and also many things have happened in this life that, at best, made me stop and think.  Also, I have experienced messages from the other side. If you have not had this experience, this may sound a little strange. However, if you have then you will, possibly, know what I mean.

I believe that our spirit is eternal and that we are spirit beings having a human experience.

That spirits are at different levels of development in this and the after life (and in between lives).

I believe that in some cases we choose our parents and that sometimes we are here to teach (guide) them.

I believe that many of the people we know and meet in this life have been with us in past lives, sometimes related sometimes just good friends, sometimes spirit guides or passing acquaintances.

I believe that with each passing life we gain more experience and become more aware of our spiritual journey; this opens us up to more spiritual vision from the past and guidance into the future.

I believe that (at some level) our knowledge is collective and this goes some way towards explaining genius!

I believe that we should mourn death at a physical level and rejoice it at the spiritual level.

Most importantly I believe this to be true, but, if I were wrong I would never know; this gives me hope for the future and It’s a nice way to live!

Just imagine the import of choosing your parents, And, if your childhood was difficult what would that mean. After all you chose them! The question is, perhaps, WHY? Just imagine, It could dramatically change your point of view. It could cause you to ask different questions and come up with different answers! When we come up with different answers we have an opportunity to have a different understanding!

So whether you have had feelings of Dếjầ Vu or are just curious about the subject, I hope this has given you something to reflect upon.

How does Past Life Regression/Therapy work?

Just like any other form of Hypnosis, by using your unconscious mind as the medium with which you experience this phenomenon. Like all Hypnosis, some people are more susceptible than others, but most can experience past life regression/therapy at some level. Is it always true? Who knows, there is always the possibility that sometimes it’s just an overactive imagination. But, there is also the possibility that it’s true!
